Strategic Value

Dragonfly Peak is an extremely strategic property for three reasons. First, it bridges the gap between the core of the Jama-Coaque Reserve (JCR) and a disconnected property that we acquired several years ago; this effectively extends contiguous protection nearly 2 kilometers southward. Second, it reaches all the way up to the crest of the mountain, where it contains a prime remnant of cloud forest. Lastly, it is the headwaters for one of the key streams that feed the Cascada Grande.
